Praslin - Day 2

Wednesday 13th April

Pleased to be able to connect with Dad and wish him a happy birthday before breakfast on the terrace. Luckily our hire car was delivered last night so we could head out first thing to explore.
We decided to tour the north east and north of the island and we were blown away by the natural beauty we discovered.

We found several small coves and a lovely sheltered bay at Anse Gouvernement, our favourite so far with a long stretch of powdery white sand and calm turquoise warm waters.
We paddled out for a while and spied a skate! We walked the length of the beach and stopped a while to watch some crabs making burrows in the sand.

We continued on to the next main town and found a gelataria where we had a refreshing ice cream! The drive north took us to another larger beach where the sea and waves were a little less calm but we ventured in and saw our first shoal of tropical fish in these waters!

We swam and sunbathed before making our way back along the coast stopping en route for pizza at another of the "larger" towns. Another glorious beach and another fabulous view before heading back for sundowners!
