Praslin - Day 3

Thursday 14th April

Early start today as we wanted to take a guided walk in the Fond Ferdinand Reserve, home to the impressive Coco de Mer palms.

The guided walk was excellent and we saw both male and female palms,

seedlings, seeds, twins

and so much more including cinnamon trees, vanilla pods,

citrus bushes, curry leaves, all spice leaves, star fruit trees, guava and avocado trees, papaya trees and fabulous views!

Afterwards we headed along the west coast stopping at various points to photograph and admire the views of nearby islands.

Lunch was at a seafront restaurant after which we bought some provisions and made our way back via the road that runs through the centre of the island and the Valley de Mai Heritage Site. The tropical rains started just as we got back so the perfect time to take a nap!
