Galle

Thursday 17/03/16

After a nice breakfast which included milk rice (patties of rice boiled in coconut water left to set and then coconut milk added with a sambol), fruit platter, juice, pancakes and toast we packed again and took a three wheeler the 45 mins to our next stopover, the fort town of Galle. Due to a mix up with the booking (my fault) we needed to find a bed for the night so, after much searching in the midday heat we eventually found a delightful place within the fort walls called Fort Bazzar. Newly opened we were treated like royalty and had a lovely spacious and cool room. Seems like my mistake worked out for the good in the end! After freshening up we headed out with our books and swimwear for a couple of hours by the pool.
