Galle - Day 1

Friday 18/03/16

Breakfasts have been generous and on the whole very good throughout our trip but the breakfast at the Fort Bazzar rivalled anything else we have enjoyed. We had freshly brewed coffee and freshly squeezed juices followed by a platter of fresh fruits including passion fruits. For our main course we were spoiled for choice but opted for the smoked salmon with poached eggs, oyster mushrooms, hollandaise sauce and sitting on a rosti. It. Was. Divine! A truly memorable brekkie.

As it is much hotter here inside the fort walls we decided to catch up with work and emails before heading out later in the day when things have cooled down a little. We read and did our emails etc in the lobby of the lovely Mango House our B & B for the next two nights.

Later in the afternoon we went out to tour the fort and the ramparts from where we saw the sun setting.
