We arrived in Melaka or, Malacca on Valentine's Day after a short flight to KL and a longer bus ride which took us to the central bus station in town. A short taxi ride and we arrived at our accommodation for the next 4 nights, The Wayfarers. A delightful restored shophouse sitting on the banks of the Melaka River. We had managed to secure a room with a view of the river and a private balcony so we re well stoked!
Our first evening we wandered along Jonker Street and the famous night market before enjoying a huge veggie burger at the Hard Rock Cafe! The beers were good but pricey at £4 each!! After a week on the duty free island of Langkawi we were going to have to pace ourselves 😉
