A walk in the Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is a stunning area and we are lucky enough to have several clients living in Gloucestershire and the surrounding pretty villages. We made our way from Geneva directly to one of these clients and for the most part of our stay the weather was chilly and wintry on occasion but mostly dry which enabled us to get out and about with the dogs and explore a little.

We were only 10 miles from Stratford on Avon so we had a half day trip out to the town and wandered around the quaint streets and browsed the lovely little shops. We have visited a number of times over the years but mainly for visits to the theatre and strolls along the River Avon so this time we concentrated on the shopping area and cake shops!!

We had a lovely meal with Della's parents at The Howard Arms (www.howardarms.com) the first weekend we were here and we managed several walks in the surrounding countryside.

One in particular was a 6 mile circuit which was fairly leisurely and linked three of the most popular Cotswold villages of Bourton-on-the-Water, Upper Slaughter and Lower Slaughter.
