Koalas galore!

Apollo Bay is a medium sized town with all you need along one stretch of road, including a super bakery selling delicious donuts!! The best bit for us was the beautiful beach.

We walked along it into town on our first evening and strolled back with the sun setting. Lovely. Little did we know that this would be our last day of decent weather! During the night it rained heavily and the wind picked up rocking our little camper all over the place!! By morning the rain had eased an after a leisurely brekky we made our way out to Cape Otway, a route which we had read in our trusty guidebook where we would get to see koalas in the wild!

We were not disappointed!









For some 2 Kms we got to see loads of the furry fellas! Babies and adults slept in the trees oblivious to us. At first they were difficult to spot but after a while we found several in branches at head height!

Great photo opportunities and the highlight of our day!!
