Melbourne, Victoria.

Back in 2012 we had an overnight in Melbourne and a very brief tour of the City before picking up a Campervan and driving the Great Ocean Road. Although our time back then was short it was enough to whet our appetite and for us to know that Melbourne was somewhere we wanted to return to at some point in the future.

As luck would have it a friend of a friend lives in a lovely leafy suburb of Melbourne and also has a couple of adorable cats that need looking after when she travels. We had been in contact over the years since our last visit and the stars aligned and our now new friend generously invited us to stay and then house and cat sit for her for when she departed on her trip to Germany.

As we have found throughout this trip, whilst the places and the tourist attractions we have visited have certainly been worth the effort it has, increasingly, been the people we have met and, the often unplanned and unexpected events that has made for some truly special experiences and given us memories we will treasure for a lifetime. Our time in Melbourne was certainly no exception and our stay with our new and now dear friend made for a memorable visit.
