Cenote and Izamal

After a lovely morning at a Chichen a Itza we made our way to a Mayan village where we had lunch and, if you wanted, there was a pretty cenote in which you could take a swim. Sadly, we had forgotten our bathers so had to make do with watching the iguanas whilst sitting in the shade!

Lunch was a mix of vegetables, rice and "chiote". A new vegetable to us and similar to cucumber in taste but not in appearance!

After lunch we went to the quaint little town of Izamal, known as the yellow city.....😉
