Pool time, beach time and scrummy food!

Since our last post we have been mostly trying new foods, lazing by the pool and perfecting the art of being beach bums! The weather has been nigh on perfect for us, warm and sunny during the day and mild enough at night to eat al fresco but also to sleep without needing the air con.

Dishes we have sampled in the past week include a delightful chilaquillas with green tomatoes and a freshly squeezed juice of orange, watermelon and pineapple which we had for brunch at Cueva del Chango a restaurant which was recommended to us and which did not disappoint.

We have also enjoyed some delicious freshly cooked quiche and bite size pieces of toasted bread with a tomato and onion topping washed down with a chilled glass of watermelon, lemon and Basil juice.
We have walked the length of the beautiful beach at PDC and spent time at different spots just watching the world go by. It has been truly relaxing.

On Monday we left our apartment here in PDC for a brief visit to the island of Isla Mujeres. More about that later!
