La Digue to Praslin and on to Mahe

Nearing the end of our visit to the beautiful Seychelles we packed up and headed to the jetty for the short crossing back to Praslin and then the connecting hour long sailing to Mahe where we would spend the night before our early morning flight to Dubai and onward to London.

The day dawned grey and breezy and the short crossing to Praslin was uneventful. However, a forecast of moderate seas for the trip to Mahe proved to be an understatement and we had quite a rough ride. Fine for me but Della who suffers with travel sickness was quite poorly.

Before we boarded the ferry we noticed lots of tropical fish swimming feet from us. The photos don't do them justice but they were lovely to see.

On arrival she felt fragile so when we were at our B & B for the night she rested up. Thankfully, she was feeling much better later in the day and in the early evening we headed out for supper at the local beachfront pizzeria.

Our B & B had a lovely balcony with views of the Indian Ocean and a very comfy bed!

As luck would have it, Wednesday evenings is night market in Mahe and we wandered around the various stalls and watched as local performed music and dance before heading back.
