Breakfast this morning was a real treat. Fresh fruit (pineapple, papaya and banana) with flakes of coconut and mint leaves, buffalo curd and palm syrup, followed by poached egg on sour dough toast with hollandaise sauce and rocket leaves, organic locally produced jams (mango, bitter marmalade, papaya and pineapple) toasted sour dough, homemade muffins and freshly brewed coffee! After that feast we decided to walk it off by heading along the rail tracks and climbing to a viewpoint at the waterfalls.
It was quite hot for the most part as there was no shade along the tracks but when we were climbing up the hills there were patches of welcome shade. A helpful local took is to a great vantage point where the views of the falls and the surrounding countryside were outstanding.
On our way back we stopped off at a local shack where they were serving light refreshments. Della had the mango juice and I tried the wood Apple smoothie which was very nice and reminded me of Ski nut yogurts!
Back at the B & B we caught up with emails and relaxed on the terrace. In the evening we walked back into town and had a fish and chip supper at the Dream cafe before wandering back using our mobile as a torch!!
