Coba

Our second visit to Mayan ruins was to the site in Coba, a 2hr drive south of PDC.
These ruins are not completely excavated but those that have been found are in excellent condition.
The site is extensive and we hired bikes so that we could maximise our time there.
The highlights of this archaeological site include the fact that the ruins are set deep in jungle territory and, the impressive pyramid structure at 42m can still be climbed. We did it and lived to tell the tale!

The views of the surrounding jungle from the top of the pyramid were stunning.
