Tulum Ruins

We visited Tulum on an overcast and warm day. The conditions were perfect for wandering around these Mayan ruins as they are exposed and on a clear day we imagine it would be very hot.
The ruins themselves were very impressive and, although small they were very well preserved.
The location is the highlight. The ruins preside over a rugged coastline and a strip of brilliant beach with  turquoise waters which provide a stunning backdrop.
Aside from the ruins we discovered plenty of iguanas in all sizes make the Tulum ruins their home.
We spent a very pleasant afternoon exploring the ruins, photographing the same and taking some time to chill at a local beachside shack. The beach in Tulum was the other highlight for us. Miles of pristine, white powdery sand which provided a great spot to rest a while and watch the world go by.
