Newcastle Emlyn, West Wales

A quick stopover in Bristol and then we made our way to a new client in Wales. Unfortunately, the wet and windy weather showed no sign of abating and for the most part of our stay it was unseasonally chilly. Still, we had the privilege of looking after a family of 5 labs in a lovely spot just outside of Newcastle Emlyn.

Newcastle Emlyn is a town straddling the counties of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire and lying on the River Teifi. Rolling hills and lush green landscape with lambs running happily in the fields all around make this quite a magical place.

The town itself is quite vibrant for these parts with numerous shops and businesses all appearing to be doing a good trade. We were especially pleased to find not one but two(!) organic shops selling local produce, traditional grocers and bakeries and a fantastic vegetarian cafe located alongside the river!
